Syed Muhammad Masood Javaid Hamdani is no only the name of a person but an ideology personified, an institute which advocates for the love of Allah Almighty and our beloved Lord Prophet along with a keen sense of devotion towards the welfare of mankind. He can easily be called “The Philosopher of Modern Age” because His self was a blend of worldly and spiritual knowledge. Mostly He was known as a famous journalist who earned a great deal of respect and homage from the readers through His column “Dawn & Dusk” which He had been writing or more than 25 years in the daily Nawai-e-Waqt.

Honorable Hamdani Shah Sahib was a person who could meet the challenges of the modern age in the light of His inner wisdom and highest proficiency. For Him, His column was an instrument which could not only bring the sensitive issues to light but also presented the solutions of the frustration regarding national issues in the content of 21st century. He raised voice against all social evils and without any contradiction practically presented His own personality as He believed in the purity of character and of conscience. He was among those very few gallant personalities who believed that for the welfare of Islam and Pakistan, all providences must be pushed behind. Before Him, Pakistan was the legacy of Islam and should be protected buy all possible means from all sorts of corruptions

The life style of Hamdani Shah Sahib and His knack of writing was so simple and effective that it could not be understood easily but also provoked the readers to play their part for the development of their counter. He was not mere journalist but a literary legend. He was the author of many regarding contemporary issues. ‘Kitab-ul-Haq’ (published in 1995), highlights his splendid personality in a different way. Here we see Him as a religious scholar, free from all prejudices and with a selfless concern for the prosperity of the Muslims.

The process of nourishing and cultivating the Pakistani nation came to an end after 63 years on 16 of May ,2002 when Hamdani Shah Sahib submitted His will and soul before the invitation of Allah Almighty. Unlike the other national heroes, Hamdani Shah Sahib‘s services will not end in smoke. We shall always remember this distinctive personality who inspired the ages and devoted His life for the noble cause of healing the deteriorating and suffering humanity.
